How to look after your eyelash extensions

• Avoid immersing your lashes in water for the first 24 hours
• Avoid heat, hot steamy showers, sauna's or jacuzzi's
• No mascara or lash curler
• Avoid oil based make-up and make-up remover (any type of oil will de-bond the eyelash glue)
• Avoid heavy eye-creams
• Try to sleep on your back and do not sleep on your face
• Brush your lashes once or twice daily
• Do not over-brush and do not touch your lashes with your fingers if necessary

When your natural lash sheds, so does the lash extension that's attached to it — that is why you must maintain your lash extensions by regularly coming back for infills.

On average we can lose 2 to 3 natural lashes per day. Taking this into consideration, it would mean that 1 weeks natural lash loss would roughly be 21 lashes, 2 weeks natural lash loss would be roughly 42 and then three weeks natural lash loss would be roughly 63. With this in mind, lash infills are recommended every 2-3.5 weeks, depending on your natural lash shedding cycle.

It it crucial in keeping your eyelashes clean to extend the life of your lashes. Just like your hair, your eyelash extensions need to be clean too. Dead skin cells, dirt and oil will  gradually build up on your lash line everyday. By not regularly cleansing your lashes, it could lead to potential infections, irritations, poor lash health/growth and lash mites.

You are able to use your lash cleanser in the shower as directed by your lash technician. Remember to pat your face dry and never to rub or pull on your lashes.
